I registered for classes!

Alright. I have decided to start using my new found free time to watch movies. Im thinking of catching a matinee of something tomorrow, who knows. Ill just freeball it.

Anyways, just watched Then She Found Me with my mom. Pretty good movie, i kind of hate Matthew Broderick and Bette Midler, but the movie was alright. I kind of wish i was colin firth in movies. Not in real life, just in movies.

I also watched King of Kong, which is a documentary about a classic competitive arcade gaming. This movie was amazing.

I also just finished watching King of California, which i think i liked too much, i felt like i was watching the best day of my life right before my eyes the whole time. Anyways, Evan Rachel Wood is now cemented in my hot girls list. Right with newly added Jenna Malone. I guess i am just on an indie kick for the moment.

So, the classes I registered for are Intermediate Algebra, Western Civ (post 1600), Intro to Philosophy, and American Literature. yay me. I gotta wake up early tomorrow so i can get my financial aid shit taken care of.

I really think Mark Millar needs to stop trying to get all of his comics turned into movies and actually spend some time writing the comic books instead. Kick Ass and War Heroes have to be the two most undependable titles out there. He's become too cocky i guess. I dont understand how comic book writers become such douche asses. oh well. I am gonna go read Joker before going to sleep and start The Walking Dead tomorrow while i wait in that huge ass stupid Financial Aid line.

"How to Lose a Guy in 8 Lessons" or "How I Wasted a Year."

Lesson One: Don’t date your friends. I probably should have already learned that one but what ever. Hindsight is 20/20 and all that bull shit. Dating friends is stupid, it doesn’t work. It ends badly and then you don’t have friend anymore. Then it takes years before you can remotely even be friends again. At the same time, friends should be nice to each other and understanding. Even if friend 1 is being a huge douche ass to friend 2, friend 1 should be understanding that maybe friend 2 is having a really difficult time dealing with an overall shitty situation. This should work in both directions, friend 1 should also be understanding. Cause that’s what friendship is. Like the saying, “That’s what friends are for.” Or obviously, the two people were never nearly as good of friends as they thought.

YEARS! A few months of a stupid idea for years missing a friend you once had. Shit doesn’t make sense. Anyways, it’s all bullshit. I am going to wake up early tomorrow, get my financial aid and classes and shit taken care of. I cant believe how much I have put this off. I hate it when I get stuck in the Doldrums which is a reference to the fantasy toll booth. The Pussy Cat Dolls just performed on leno and I see what Julia was saying about Kimberly being the best one.

Lesson Two: Don’t dump or set your self up to be dumped on a holiday, especially when the recipient of the dump’s family is out of town. That isn’t friendly.

Lesson 3: Don’t get drunk and call your ex. Contrary to popular belief, this doesn’t actually end as well as it sounds. Likewise, don’t email your ex. Don’t contact your ex in anyway what so ever, because when they said that they still wanted to be friends, they weren’t taking into consideration all that might mean to you. They don’t understand what being a friend is. It’s safe to say that, the friend thing was a downright lie. Because, friend doesn’t meant what it meant before you started dating, it now means distant and empty. It means that you don’t talk or tell each other anything, friend means lets pretend we don’t know each other at all.

Lesson 4: If you want to make plans with the person you shouldn’t be dating in the first place because there is no way it will end well. Make sure those plans are within that month, cause there is no telling what the fuck is going to be going through that crazy fucking brain within the next couple weeks. Crazy fucking brain easily applies to both sides. Easily. No plans. Especially those involving money. If some one says, we can go no matter what, it doesn’t mean, “Be a bitch.” It’s not an open invitation for you to treat your friend like shit.

Lesson 5: Don’t exchange gifts. Just don’t. Don’t break up with some one at the beginning of the holidays and say, Oh by the way, I got you a Christmas gift. If you accept the gift, don’t immediately give it back. That’s STUPID!

Lesson 6: Don’t watch fucking romantic comedies by yourself at midnight after a break up. Don’t drink after a break up. Get over it and do something else. Watching romantic comedies is a horrible idea. Its stops being a romantic comedy and starts being a romantic shitty as fuck depressing moment. Don’t cuss when you talk to them, cussing just makes you a little angrier every time, then you end up even angrier then you would have been normally and the person wont know where the hell all the hostility is coming from.

Lesson 7. Don’t act like a little shit. Don’t be a whiney bitch. Don’t listen to music you used to listen to go. Don’t accidentally let the words “I miss so and so” slip in conversation with friends who don’t care or are tired of hearing about it. They don’t care and neither should you. Fill your time with something else, go out to eat with people you haven’t talked to in a while. Don’t read their blog, don’t try and see what theyre doing online, its pathetic and will just make you feel like shit.

Lesson 8, final lesson: Don’t blog about it. NEVER EVER Blog about it. Especially don’t wait until more then a month later to blog about it. After you haven’t mentioned it once online. That’s like rubbing a dogs nose in its own shit 3 days later. Because they have the decency to act like nothing ever happened, hell, most of their friends probably don’t even know you guys dated from May ( I think ) to November. If their friends don’t know you’re dating, you probably aren’t really dating anyways. I think Chris Rock said something about that.

these lessons apply to both sides. Many to most of these mistakes are my own. Sorry for the typos.

If Chris Isaak is dead, who the shit is drawing 9th Wonders? Is this something they will reveal later? Am I suppose to assume that he drew that much of a comic before he died, 2 seasons ago? This seems to me like a huge plot drop in the case of heroes. I hope they explain it.

Also, the first time they have mentioned the eclipse giving them their powers was in the "Next time on" at the end of the episode and I guess Mohinder insinuated it in this episode. What the fuck? I know it started out with an eclipse in the first episode and when Hiro went back in time there was an eclipse, but i mean, seriously, letting the "next time on" narrator actually delineate the information? i am just not buying it.

This show sucks more and more every time i watch it.

I mean, jesus christ, did they just so happen to find another comic book illustrator who can see the future as it pertains to Hiro Nakamura?

Here it comes, a real live, sure as shit, write home to your parents, Cleopatra comin’ atcha, nothing but net, journal blog update. A journal update of incomparable comparison!

I think I cut my lip on a soda can.

Alright, so today I made a 100 on a math test.

I wish Bruce Springsteen and Elton John would put aside their differences and tour together. Presidential Debate tomorrow night. I hope some one really messes up to spruce up the show a little more. Maybe they could both come out dressed as their parties’ specific animal representation.

I downloaded Sam’s Town last night, my copy got soda all over it some how. I hadn’t listened to it in 6 months. Bla bla bla, I love it. Max and I have extended our lease for 6 more months. Who knows what comes next. 6 months is so short. I hate college, every one is like 4-6 years younger then me, unless theyre like 40 something. Maybe I just need some real college-ness.

I want to watch horror movies for days. Maybe have 12 days of Halloween or something like that? I am already extremely excited about Christmas and am doing everything I can to keep myself from blaring the Chipmunks Christmas album in my car.

I need a change of scenery. I think due to the military, I get extremely restless after a while. Like, Greenville is amazing and everyone here is awesome, but I want something extremely different for at least a week end. Like, a mini vacation or something.

I get paid tomorrow, finally. The check is pending, I hate that. I want money now, not tomorrow. I am going to get a real phone this week. And hopefully a real job. Or at least a part time job that is more a real job then my current job, which is non-existent.

I am not looking forward to having all my free time taken away from me though. I guess I got free time coming out my ass though. Especially after this semester, I plan to only take one class next semester.

I saw Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, I liked it a lot, or I would have if I was still in high school and not 24.

City of Ember comes out this week end, which I think is suppose to be a post-apocalytic movie for kids? Its got Bill Murray in it. Here is the trailer:
<lj-embed id="8" />

I don’t know if I am interested in seeing it or not. I was really excited about a month ago. But things change … people change.

Except not really, just feels like it’s been a while. Man, I hate it when I sit down and in my head its like…Okay, I am gonna do it this time, I am really gonna update this shit and blow people’s minds. Their minds will be so blown but this update that they will be picking their individual brain parts of the wall behind them because of how phenomenally this update coursed through their veins. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is going to be one of those updates. Just a boring update really, a shit, I ain’t done a damn thing with my life sort of update. Oh well, Joann and I climbed table rock the other day, well, she climbed, I more or less crawled my way up. Rock Band was last night and it was okay though it seemed like there weren’t that many people there. But whatev. I guess after Tyler’s last post to Livejournal, whatever I write is going to feel very minute and unimportant. I saw Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder, both are hilarious but I think Tropic Thunder may have really topped it. Tropic Thunder is like the icing on the cake that is this summer’s comedy season. (you cant make that shit up).

I start school tomorrow. I think at 11 am. That’s what I should really be doing right now, writing down my schedule, organizing my school supplies, and having my mom lay out a nice outfit for me to wear on my first day to make a good impression. I have been considering getting a piercing some where on my face or ears but I haven’t made up my mind about it and will probably end up not following through in the end. As far as TV goes, I cant wait for Heroes to start back up, that show isn’t great but it is. I don’t know how they do it. I am guessing it has something to do with Hayden Panitiere (SP?) and Kristen Bell. I am taking, History, Math, Biology, and Anthropology

So, I more or less have seen this year as a series of movies that I get to go and see (I know, pathetic) and I am pretty depressed right now because there is nothing coming out that I really want to see until like October. Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Michael Cera looks so awesome in that movie, what a cool and average seeming guy.

the Trailer:
<lj-embed id="7" />

Hmmmm. Right now, I am trying to collect 2 new-ish comic series:

Special Forces, which is created by Kyle Baker and ridiculous as all shit, its suppose to be a satire on the army’s current standards for recruitment. I like it a lot but I missed the second issue so I am trying to get Borderlands to order it for me, I could probably drive right down the street to Richard’s and they would have it but I like to commit to Borderlands.

The other series I am collecting, which is AMAZING so far, is Rasl, which as far as I know is about an inter-dimensional thief, it makes me think of Time-Bandits a lot, and its created by Jeff Smith and its way more adult oriented then Bone and its just so different and unique, I really love it and I think anyone would like it.

I am trying to think if anything else of interest has been happening…. Oh, Joann and I have been watching Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, and we are about half way through the 3rd season, and this show is absolutely amazing. Like, the first season was okay, but then all the 2nd season really just blows you away completely. Like the writing and dialogue is SO Joss Whedon, I love it. And I wish I had of known about Xander Harris when I was in school, he is like the best male character ever, next to like, as far as male tv characters go, he is probably in my top five with like Kevin Arnold, Paul Pfeiffer, the Petes, and Mal. Well, I guess that’s all I got, I have two stereos that I want to sell.

*Swoon*

Laterz!

    <lj:music>Avett Bros.</lj:music>

Well, I feel like I haven’t really updated in a while. There really isn’t anything going on that much to talk about. My July 4th wasn’t all that impressive, but I did get to see my sister and grandparents, which doesn’t happen often. I don’t see my grandparents very often cause I don’t normally go to their houses. They do however live in the area. I would like to hang out with my grandparents more often but I honestly don’t know what to do or say most of the time, so I don’t. If I could just go over, eat, and then leave, that would be okay but I feel like that might be rude. I just feel like I am entirely too awkward for situations like that.

Hancock is out and I really want to see it. I think that I have plans to go see it tomorrow after 6 if anyone is super interested. Also, this Thursday I think we are going to go see Hellboy 2 at Midnight. I hate breaks from school cause I just get REALLY bored during the day. I guess I could be reading from the text book? But I am just SO not interested in that.

I saw Wall-E. I liked it a whole lot. I have heard from people that it gets boring and too “in your face” about environment but I mean, it’s a kids movie so…anytime theyre trying to address an issue in a kids movie, it’s usually too “in your face.” Hasn’t anyone ever seen Ferngully, or Once Upon a Forest, or Happy Feet?

I am thinking about going to get sushi at the new place on woodruff, where sarah works. We shall see.

Also, I can’t post without talking about what is sure to be the greatest post-apocalyptic event of the year, my birthday party, comin’ at ya July 25th. Be there or be square basically. There should be plenty of food and hard liquor, bring your own beer please (though I will probably get some of that too).

Also, the following day (July 26th), I do still plan to drive to Cary, NC, to see the Avett Brothers, I should be buying my ticket some time this week. Here is another video for your viewing pleasure.

<lj-embed id="6" />

NOTE: went to Wasabi (place where sarah works), i am now on a indefinite sushi hiatus.

Hi everyone, so, I have been doing a lot of thinking about party ideas and Max, Elliott, and myself came up with something amazing. Its a post apocalyptic theme which should be amazing. Included in this post is a poll asking for you to put which movies you like the best so I can make sure i get a couple movies people would actually watch and what not. alright, Mamma Mia! is out and the end of the world is in. Please fill out the poll, or if you have suggestions, that would be cool too.

Laters.

Opinion Polls & Market Research
<lj-embed id="5" />

    <lj:music>The Greatest Man That Ever Lived.</lj:music>

Well, I stayed at my parent’s house for the last 3 days or so, House Sitting and watching their dogs. They said I could have Mandy, that’s the dog I almost killed or whatever. Lets see, I also went to a wedding in Charleston which was exceptionally boring and I reinforced my feelings on the topic. It was one of my cousin’s weddings and the reception was at Sticky Fingers which could sound tacky (which it is) but this Sticky Fingers was apparently the first one built so it was a little less cheesy then you might expect. I ate a lot of macaroni, pulled pork, and chicken. I <3 Pulled Pork.

My favorite song on the Red Album is a toss up between The Greatest Man That Ever Lived and Heart Songs. Pork and Beans is easily the best song though. So, my parents have digital cable and I have been watching A LOT of fuse and MTVU and whatever other music channels. I now love Metro Station, which is apparently Miley’s older brother’s band. I also think I like The Ting Tings and Say Anything’s new album, “In Defense of the Genre”.

Hayley Williams sings on a couple tracks so that’s what I am using as my excuse.

Today, I was thinking it would be kind of cool to be a cab driver.

I got a letter from the reserves telling me that they don’t want me any more. Yay? I am really glad that they quit me and not the other way around, whatever that means.

Next month, I start saving up for comic con, and spending more time actually reading some Grant Morrison comic books. I have a Mohawk now. I haven’t spiked it up yet though so I am sort of second guessing the whole thing right now.

Does any one sort of feel like taking a trip to Carowinds some time this summer? Also, at the beginning of july, I am getting a ticket to go to that concert I have been mentioning a lot lately. Tickets are like 27 dollars or something, a little less then that, I am figuring in the service charge from ticketmaster. I think it will be an amazing concert. I have been checking out there message boards and what not and everyone is really excited about this show specifically. So, Kara’s movie theater is starting its midnight movies at the end of the month and I definitely plan to make the trip to see at least 3 of those movies, right now I am thinking Pulp Fiction, A Hard Day’s Night, and Bladerunner. I am definitely going to see three, and Bladerunner will definitely be one of those 3, if anyone wants to go see those or any of the other movies playing, let me know, I am pretty much up for going to see any of them. Here is a link to the midnight movie myspace page for your viewing pleasure. MIDNIGHT MOVIE MADNESS!

In other news, I have been doing a lot of thinking for my birthday party festivities, I am thinking about having my party be disco themed, maybe that’s a horrible idea. I mean, I really want to go see Mamma Mia! and that’s basically and Abba musical, I don’t know. Hmmm. Here is the trailer incase you’ve been missing out. That would be taking place on July 25th.

<lj-embed id="2" />
And then The Avett Brothers on July 26th, I can take 6 people in my car (including myself), So far, its me, Joann, and Sarah.

Well then, yesterday was pleasantly entertaining for me. In the midst of all this boredom I decided to invite Sarah to go get a sandwich with me, after getting the sandwiches and getting back into LeSabre Tooth, I thought, geez what a nice day. What a nice car. I want to drive.

So, we went and picked up Joann which is kind of a road trip in and of itself and then proceeded to drive to Asheville. The happiest place in America (according to 20/20). We got there pretty late-ish but in time to eat some sushi. I was hoping to catch a movie at the Fine Arts Theatre but our timing was a little off. They weren’t really playing anything I felt like seeing anyways.

Kara’s movie theater got Young At Heart last Friday and will be getting My Blueberry Nights this coming Friday. I want to see both.

We drove through some of the smallest po-dunk towns I have ever seen in my entire life. Like, I would be surprised if they even know what the internet is. There is really intimating biker bar by Joann’s house. Its made out of crap pieces of wood and what I can only imagine is the bodies of babies because the people who frequent the establishment must be the most crazy sons of bitches ever. We saw a crow or some large bird eating a possum in the middle of the street and it was creepy as shit. From now on, I am going to keep a tape recorder and a camera in my car so that I can remember the stupid ass shit I see in an effort to better disseminate that information here. So yea, we basically spend 3 + hours in a car just so we could eat some sushi.

I gotta say, I really enjoy driving this new car. And, I had so much fun yesterday that I was bored to death today. Oh well.

Also, we watched Two Lane Black Top, check it out. Its basically the 2001 of classic car movies…except this makes even less since then 2001. Also, the car doesn’t talk to James Taylor even though it might as well have.

The above picture Is my next tattoo idea, what do you guys think?
